Dr. Michala Breengaard

Biography

Michala Hvidt Breengaard is an academic employee at the University of Copenhagen, specifically in the field of Landscape Architecture and Planning Society. She holds a PhD in gender diversity studies and research on climate sustainability. Her research focuses on gender diversity in transport mobility and the social dimensions of transport, where she collaborates with various stakeholders, including politicians and NGOs, to mainstream gender considerations. Michala's work also extends to qualitative methods and feminist theories surrounding family dynamics, particularly parenting and motherhood in the context of socio-political frameworks like China’s one-child policy. She has extensive experience in organizing academic conferences and workshops, along with supervising BA and MA projects. In addition to her academic duties, she has served as an editor for a research journal and has been involved in various professional activities related to gender equality and research disseminations.
