Biography

Professor Michel Clement joined the University of Hamburg in 2006 and holds the Chair of Marketing & Media at the Institute of Marketing. His research focuses on managing entertainment media products, new technologies, and customer/donor management. He has been a faculty member at the University of Passau working in Marketing & Services from 2005 to 2006 and at Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel from 2002 to 2005, specializing in Innovation and New Media Marketing. Clement holds a doctorate in marketing and a master’s degree in business administration with specializations in marketing, innovation management, and psychology from Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel. His professional experience includes management positions in the media industry, where he was involved in new technology scouting and venture consulting, starting with his role as a consultant for Bertelsmann mediaSystems in 1999. He later became vice president at Snoopstar.com GmbH, overseeing finance, business development, and marketing. Currently, he holds several prominent positions within the University of Hamburg, including as a member of the Academic Senate and Faculty Council and has been actively involved in various supervisory boards and committees.
