Biography

Michel van der Borgh is a Full Professor in the Department of Marketing at Copenhagen Business School. He has previously held positions as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Eindhoven University of Technology and Tilburg University. Michel earned his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Hanze University Groningen, an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, and was awarded a Ph.D. in Marketing at the university. His research has been published in prestigious journals including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and the British Journal of Management. Michel regularly reviews for a number of leading journals and currently serves as an Associate Editor for the European Journal of Marketing and Industrial Marketing Management. His research aims to understand the driving forces behind the success of radically new digital technologies, particularly in sectors such as ICT, medical devices, and manufacturing. Additionally, Michel collaborates with leading high-tech organizations including Philips, Vanderlande Industries, KPN, Getronics, and Ahrend, contributing to the development of effective sales strategies and solutions.
