I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Criminology/Gender Studies, and a Doctorate in Criminology from the University of Ottawa. My research has been supported by several research funds, including the Bengt-Nirje Scholarship from the National Research Consortium on Social Integration, the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, and the Quebec Research Fund Scholarship. I worked for 15 years in a community organization (Centre d'aide et de lutte contre les agressions sexuelles - CALAS) in the Outaouais region as a social worker and co-manager. I also held the position of senior advisor at the Integrated Health and Social Services Centre of Outaouais for 2 years. During that time, I was responsible for the deployment of the Quebec Program for Mental Disorders in the Outaouais region. I am currently collaborating on the research project "Using Virtual Reality in Learning Psychological First Aid (PFA): Development of Training Scenarios Focused on the Needs of Workers in Psychiatric Care Settings," under the direction of researcher Dominique Therrien from UQO. This project is funded by the Quebec Research Fund.
