Dr. Michele Pekar

Biography

Michele Pekar is a founding partner and executive director of Co-Dev, Inc., a global service provider specializing in negotiation, facilitation, conflict resolution, and leadership. With 15 years of experience, Michele is a senior negotiation trainer who conducts seminars and workshops on negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership for MBA students, corporate executives, and diplomats at the United Nations. She is trained in negotiation at Harvard and is also an editor of the book 'Move: Negotiator’s Companion,' published by Wiley in 2010. Michele's current research interests focus on gender negotiation and the emotional impact on decision-making within negotiations. She began her career in politics and has worked in higher education in France, as well as in fundraising and international program development, negotiating across cultures for over 20 years. Michele holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard University. She is bilingual in English and French.
