Biography

Michele D. Simoni currently serves as an Associate Professor in Transport Systems Analysis at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His main research activities are focused on modeling and optimizing advanced transportation solutions based on recent communication and automation technologies. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019. Prior to that, he completed his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering at Delft University of Technology in 2013, and he holds a B.Sc. from the Polytechnic University of Milan, which he obtained in 2011. Before joining KTH, Michele was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Center for Transportation and Logistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include last-mile logistics, transportation policies, and traffic flow simulation.
