Dr. Michele Tantardini

Biography

Michele Tantardini earned a master's degree in Economics Management Public Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Her academic career is focused on the management of public sector institutions and organizations. Currently, she serves as an Associate Professor in the Public Administration at Penn State Harrisburg. She obtained her Ph.D. in Public Affairs from Florida International University, where her dissertation investigated the relationship between performance information use and organizational social capital. Tantardini has researched various topics, including performance information use, social capital, and public service motivation. Her publications have appeared in respected journals such as Public Performance Management Review, International Public Management Journal, and Public Administration Quarterly. She is currently exploring the connections between religion, faith, spirituality, and public administration, with work published in notable outlets including Public Administration Review and Public Money & Management. Her monograph titled “Religion and Public Administration: Introduction” was published by Edward Elgar Publishing Ltd.
