Biography

Micheline White is a Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Carleton University. She completed her B.A. (Honours) in English Literature at the University of Toronto in 1989 and subsequently earned an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Ottawa in 1992. She obtained her Ph.D. in English Literature from Loyola University Chicago in 1998. White's research primarily focuses on English Renaissance literature, with a particular interest in women's writing and Reformation history. Her published works include several articles on Katherine Parr, exploring themes of religious writing and women's literary networks. White has contributed to edited volumes and has received multiple grants, including the SSHRC Insight Development Grant for research on Tudor women's prayer books. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has supervised graduate theses on related subjects. White's recent courses include 'Culture and Imagination' and 'Tudor Queens.'
