Michelle Gray is an Associate Professor in Environmental Management at the University of New Brunswick's Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management. She serves as the Science Director of the Canadian Rivers Institute (CRI). Michelle holds a BSc in Biology and Environmental Science, an MSc in Watershed Ecosystems from Trent University, and a PhD in Biology from the University of New Brunswick. Additionally, Michelle teaches courses on environmental management tools, impact assessment, and provides practical online field skills training for the Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network (CABIN), as well as electrofishing and water quality data analysis. Her current research interests focus on developing novel integrated tools to assess aquatic environmental health and investigating the utility of small-bodied fish species for monitoring environmental conditions through basic life history characteristics.
