Dr. Michelle Gros

Biography

Michelle Gros completed medical school at the University of Toronto and residency training at Western University, starting work at the London Health Sciences Centre in 2007. Her areas of interest include obstetrical anesthesia, quality assurance, and education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Gros has been instrumental in creating new anesthesia records utilized citywide and developing a sleep apnea policy as part of the Quality Assurance Committee. In 2010, she became the Site Coordinator for Undergraduate Education at Victoria Hospital and has served as the City-Wide Director for Undergraduate Education within the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine. She also participates in the curriculum committee for Anesthesia Residency Training, overseeing a half-day teaching program for residents. Additionally, she is responsible for preparing final year residents for exams and served as an examiner for the Royal College from 2013 to 2021. Dr. Gros was the Chair of the Anesthesia Competence Committee from 2016 to 2022 and remains a member. Moreover, she has completed a term as Site Chief of Anesthesia at Victoria Hospital from 2019 to 2021. In recognition of her dedication, she received the Undergraduate Teacher of the Year Award in 2013.
