Dr. Michelle Muratori

Biography

Michelle Muratori is a lecturer at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, specializing in counseling and educational studies. With over 18 years of experience at Johns Hopkins, she has held various positions including Assistant Director of Student Support and Educational Advisor at the Center for Talented Youth. Michelle earned her M.A. in counseling psychology from Northwestern University and her Ph.D. in counselor education from the University of Iowa. She has received recognition for her teaching, being honored with the Johns Hopkins University Alumni Association Excellence in Teaching Award in 2014. An active participant in the counseling community, Michelle regularly presents at national conferences and delivered the opening keynote address at the American Counseling Association’s Virtual Conference Experience in 2021. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. Her research interests include group work and personal development for counselor trainees. Michelle has coauthored several books with the American Counseling Association, focusing on self-care, clinical supervision, and coping skills for counselors and clients.
