Biography

Dr. Michelle Ngo studied Biochemistry and Secondary School Education at the University of British Columbia, where she completed her medical training. She finished medical school with a focus on psychiatry, and then completed her residency in child adolescent psychiatry at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Ngo works full time at the London Health Sciences Centre within the Children’s Hospital's ambulatory Child Adolescent Mental Health Care Program, with a clinical interest in mood and anxiety disorders. Her practice emphasizes early intervention strategies for transitional age youth and integrates psychotherapy techniques, primarily Cognitive Behavioural Therapy along with Motivational Interviewing. Dr. Ngo is committed to education and enjoys teaching medical students and residents across different levels of psychiatry. She serves as the Program Director for the Child Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty Residency Program, contributing actively to postgraduate education and is a member of the national Education Committee for the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists.
