Biography

Michelle Rutty is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair at the University of Waterloo in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management. Her research primarily focuses on the behavioral responses of tourists to environmental changes brought about by climate change. She investigates climatic risks and emerging opportunities for tourism operators and destinations in a warming and decarbonizing world.
