Biography

Michelle Silva is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor in Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as the director of the Connecticut Latino Behavioral Health System, an academic-community partnership aimed at expanding access to behavioral health services for the monolingual Spanish-speaking community in greater New Haven. Dr. Silva’s work connects practice, education, and clinical research, engaging in multidisciplinary collaborations to promote health equity for vulnerable and underserved communities. Based at the Connecticut Mental Health Center, she provides clinical services for individuals affected by immigration-related trauma at the Hispanic Clinic, treating children, adolescents, and families at the West Haven Mental Health Clinic. Dr. Silva supervises psychology fellows in the Department's Doctoral Internship in Clinical Community Psychology and acts as a faculty advisor for health professional students in the Behavioral Health Department of the Yale HAVEN Free Clinic.
