Michiel Voskuil was born in Amsterdam in 1973 and studied medicine in the city, receiving his medical degree in 1999. He completed his PhD on cardiac catheterization at the Amsterdam University Medical Center (A-UMC) in 2003. Following this, he undertook a cardiology fellowship specializing in interventional cardiology at the A-UMC. Since 2010, he has worked as an interventional cardiologist at the University Medical Center Utrecht. His areas of interest include the regular percutaneous coronary intervention program and structural heart disease, particularly congenital heart disease in adults. He has held the position of president of the Working group Interventional Cardiology (WIC) within the Dutch Cardiology Association (NVVC) and is a member of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI). He became an associate professor at UMCU in 2019.
