Biography

Michio Taya grew up in Seattle, WA. He obtained his medical degree and a Master of Science in Clinical Research Methods from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internship at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Dr. Taya continued his education by finishing a Diagnostic Radiology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He further specialized by completing an Abdominal Imaging Ultrasound Fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. In 2024, he joined the Abdominal Imaging Intervention section as an Assistant Professor (CHS). His professional interests include oncologic imaging, population health, and resident education.
