Biography

Mickey Edwards is a visiting professor at Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, where he teaches public leadership. He served as a member of Congress for 16 years and was a lecturer at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government for 11 years before joining the Princeton faculty in 2004. Edwards has also returned to Washington as vice president of the Aspen Institute and director of a fellowship program for promising young elected officials, whose alumni include a vice president of the United States, current cabinet secretaries, governors, and members of both the U.S. House and Senate. He has chaired task forces for organizations like the American Bar Association and is an elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His recent works include “The Parties Versus People” and co-authoring “Congress: Branch” and “Reclaiming Conservatism,” both published by prominent presses.
