Biography

Mien-hwa Chiang is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Pennsylvania, where she has been teaching since 2000. With over 30 years of experience in Chinese language and culture instruction, she has held positions at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, Princeton University, and Columbia University's Summer Program in Beijing, as well as the Middlebury Summer Chinese School. Additionally, she is a lifetime member of the Chinese Language Teachers Association and actively participates in the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, along with being the Immediate Past President of Taoli Chinese Language Educators Mid-Atlantic.
