Biography

Miguel Bessa leads a research group focused on the design of materials and structures through the application of artificial intelligence. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University in 2016 and was a Fulbright scholar. He completed a short postdoctoral position at Caltech in 2017 before joining Delft University of Technology as an Assistant Professor.
