Biography

Miguel Herculano is a Lecturer in Financial Economics at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. He joined Glasgow after working at Schroders, an asset management firm in London. He has taught at the School of Economics at the University of Nottingham and has experience as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Freiburg in Germany after completing his Ph.D. in Financial Economics at the University of Glasgow. Miguel's career began in the Insurance Industry as an actuary, followed by a role as an economist at the Central Bank of Portugal. His teaching and research interests lie at the intersection of macroeconomics, finance, and applied econometrics.
