Biography

Mihnea Moldoveanu is a Professor of Economic Analysis and Policy at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He holds the Marcel Desautels Professorship in Integrative Thinking. He joined Rotman in 1999 and was instrumental in developing the concept of Integrative Thinking alongside Roger Martin. He has authored nine books, including 'Soft Skills: See, Measure, Develop Skills Make Uniquely Human' (DeGruyter, 2024) and 'Future Executive Development' (Stanford, 2021). Moldoveanu has published over 100 articles and book chapters focusing on various aspects of human problem solving and social reasoning, as well as the dynamics of social networks. Alongside his academic career, he has also been an entrepreneur, having founded and led Redline Communications, Inc., which specializes in wireless broadband telecommunications equipment, and Hefaistos, Inc., a developer of ADSL modems and digital broadcasting technology. His contributions to academia and business were recognized in 2008 when he received Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” award.
