Biography

Mikael Fogelström is a Full Professor in the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience at Chalmers University of Technology. He received his PhD in Physics from Åbo Akademi in 1995, under the supervision of Professor Juhani Kurkijärvi, with a dissertation focusing on theoretical numerical studies of superfluid 3He. Following his doctoral work, he conducted postdoctoral research at Northwestern University between 1996 and 1998 and subsequently at Karlsruhe University of Technology from 1998 to 2000. Since August 2000, he has been affiliated with Chalmers, initially in the Department of Physics, and from 2003, in the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience (MC2). His research interests primarily lie in the areas of mesoscopic and unconventional superconductivity, with recent expansions into the study of graphene and topological materials.
