Biography

Mikael Skoglund is a Professor in the Department of Information Science and Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. in 1997 from Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg, Sweden. He joined KTH in August 1997 and has since held various academic positions including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in Communication Theory. Skoglund is an elected Fellow of the IEEE and has served on editorial boards for IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Transactions on Information Theory. Braded efforts in strategic research areas and leadership in advancing academic disciplines have marked his career, alongside mentorship roles for numerous Ph.D. students in his area of expertise.
