Biography

Mike Golden is the Director of the Advocacy Program at the University of Texas School of Law, where he has been a full-time faculty member since 2022. With over 20 years of experience as a trial lawyer in Austin, he began his career at Vinson & Elkins and later co-founded the law firm Boulette Golden & Marin. His extensive expertise encompasses civil trials, appeals, mediation, arbitration, and administrative litigation. Golden has served as an adjunct professor at Texas Law from 2004 to 2022, teaching courses in Trial Advocacy, Survey, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Advocacy in the Courtroom. He heads the John L. Hill Trial Advocacy Center and sponsors Texas Law's interscholastic mock trial and moot court programs, cultivating the next generation of exceptional courtroom advocates. He received his A.B. from Georgetown University in 1998 and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2001.
