Biography

Mike Kassam is a Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. He serves as the Associate Chair for Student Affairs and Undergraduate Studies. Kassam's academic journey includes a Doctorate from Miskolc University and Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Toronto. He introduced a specialty fourth-year capstone project and was instrumental in developing an automated portable blood pressure measuring system, which was the first of its kind at the time. Kassam is passionate about teaching and aims to inspire his students just as his professors once inspired him. He routinely updates his curriculum and adapts his lectures to maintain student engagement, believing that a strong commitment to learning requires hard work and dedication.
