Biography

Mikhail Bessmeltsev is a member of the Graphic Computing Laboratory at the Université de Montréal (LIGUM). His research interests include generating three-dimensional shapes from 2D sketches and using computer processing and geometric treatment for the creation of artworks. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia in 2016 under the supervision of Alla Sheffer. Before joining the DIRO, Mikhail conducted his postdoctoral studies at the CSAIL lab at MIT with Justin Salomon.
