Biography

Miki Susanto Park earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Texas, Austin in 1997, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of California, San Francisco in December 2002. He joined the University of the Pacific in 2004 as an Associate Scientist at Genentech and is now a Professor, Interim Associate Dean of Graduate Education, and Research Director of the Pharmaceutical Chemical Sciences Program. Dr. Park is dedicated to creating a student-centered learning environment and values the relationships developed with colleagues, appreciating how the university fosters an environment where faculty can perform independent research. His research interests include drug transporters and pharmacokinetics, which inform his teaching philosophy aimed at inspiring critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
