Biography

Miklos Sukosd is a media researcher and sociologist at the University of Copenhagen, serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication. His research interests include political communication, media policy, and journalism, particularly within the contexts of Central Eastern Europe, Russia, and China. He has previously held positions such as Associate Professor at the Journalism Media Studies Centre at the University of Hong Kong and Academic Director at the Center for Media and Communication Studies at Central European University. Miklos has contributed significantly to the field, having published over 20 books and journal articles. His academic background comprises an MA in Sociology from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He has received numerous fellowships, including the Fulbright Fellowship to Columbia University and a fellowship from the Japan Foundation. Currently, he co-directs the European Culture Media research group at the University of Copenhagen and collaborates on various projects related to political communication and media. He supervises numerous BA and MA theses and has been involved in teaching a range of courses on media sociology, digital media, environmental communication, and political communication.
