Biography

Milan Horemuz is a Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in Geodesy. He has been with the university since 1996, initially as a research associate and researcher, and later as a lecturer from 2016 onward. Horemuz earned his PhD in Geodesy from the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, with a thesis focused on the design of a new reference system for Slovakia. His research interests include applied geodesy, sensor orientation supported by inertial systems, deformation monitoring, and laser scanning integrated with GNSS and total station surveying. He also oversees the Geographic track of the Civil Engineering Urban Management degree programme. Horemuz teaches various courses across bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels, including Degree Projects in Built Environment and Geodesy, as well as Environmental Data, GIS Surveying, and Geodetic Sensor Technology, among others.
