Biography

Miles Houslay is a Professor of Pharmacological Innovation at King's College London. He holds part-time positions as the CEO and Managing Director of BioGryffe Consulting Ltd, and co-Founder of BioTheryx Inc in the USA. He earned his BSc in Biochemistry from Cardiff University and his PhD in Biochemistry from Cambridge University. Houslay previously held the Gardiner Chair of Biochemistry for 27 years at the University of Glasgow. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and a founding Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. He has served on grant panels for various research councils in the UK and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Cellular Signalling. Houslay has published over 440 research papers in prestigious journals including Science, Nature, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. His research has generated substantial funding, including £22 million in grants, and he has an H-Index of 74, reflecting his impactful contributions to the field.
