Biography

Milou Habraken works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Technology, Human, Institutional Behaviour, University of Twente. Her research interests encompass technological innovation, design management, and work design. Milou's current research is embedded in the NWA Smart Skills @Scale project with a focus on the appropriation of technology. She obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration in 2013 and a Research Master's degree in Economics and Business, specializing in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, in 2016, both from the University of Twente and the University of Groningen, respectively. In 2020, she earned her doctoral degree with her dissertation titled 'Becoming Smarter: A Study into Industry 4.0 Job Design Effects'. Milou has served as the lead researcher for the talent research project at the University of Twente and has published research in various academic journals and books related to HRM 4.0 and human-centered organizations. Additionally, she has co-authored non-academic reports relevant to the smart industry and workplace challenges in Flanders. Before her current position, she worked as a senior researcher at HIVA-KU Leuven in Belgium from September 2021 to March 2024.
