Biography

Min Shi is an expert in the fields of financial valuation and damages quantification. He has submitted over 50 expert reports and testified in numerous cases involving quantum damages in commercial litigation and international arbitration. His significant testimonies include those in the High Court of Justice in London, the Royal Court in Jersey, and various courts in China. Since joining Oxera in 2010, Min has utilized his extensive experience in valuation work, particularly in the context of securities class action lawsuits and bankruptcy cases. In addition to working at Oxera, he served as an Associate Fellow at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford from 2010 to 2022 and held a lecturer position in Economics at Queen’s College in 2010–11. Prior to his time at Oxford, Min was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His contributions are recognized as he is listed as an Expert Witness in Arbitration and Consulting Experts by Who's Who Legal and received the Client Choice Award for Arbitration Expert Witness in 2020.
