Ming C. Wu is the Nortel Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a co-director of the Berkeley Sensor Actuator Center (BSAC) and the Berkeley Emerging Technologies Research Center (BETR). Forman Engineering Excellence Award from the OSA and the William Streifer Scientific Achievement Award from the IEEE Photonics Society, among others. Dr. Wu is a Fellow of IEEE and OSA, and he has been recognized as a Bakar Fellow. His work continues to push the boundaries of technology in optical switching and cellular analysis, contributing significantly to advancements in the field.
