Dr. Mingde Lin

Biography

MingDe Lin received a B.S. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Duke University. He currently serves as the Director of Clinical Research for North America at Visage Imaging, stationed at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he oversees and coordinates research collaborations with high-profile academic hospitals to develop new solutions in diagnostic image analysis. His work prominently features applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning within the Radiology enterprise. Dr. Lin has successfully led efforts in building an automatic breast density AI classifier and conducting clinical validations, facilitating the regulatory approval of their AI algorithms. His research includes developing methods to treat liver cancer, focusing on transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). Dr. Lin is responsible for securing multiple NIH R01 grants and has a record of innovations that bridge computational methods and real-world clinical outcomes. He has been inducted into the Council of Distinguished Investigators of the Academy of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Research for his contributions to medical imaging.
