Minh Phan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He completed his PhD in Food Science Technology at UNSW in 2019 under the Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship, focusing on the cellular biological effects of phytochemicals and their interactions during food co-digestion. His research involved the use of Caco-2 human colorectal adenocarcinoma cells to evaluate antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of phytochemical combinations. Minh has published six articles in high-impact peer-reviewed journals during his PhD candidature. Currently, he applies his expertise in human cell culture and analytical chemistry to investigate the effects of sex hormones on human meibomian gland epithelial cells (HMGEC) and works with senior researchers to establish cell culture conditions. His research includes the quantification of sex steroids and lipids produced by cultured HMGEC using LC-MS/MS techniques, as well as transcriptome analysis of genes associated with lipid biosynthesis in HMGEC.
Includes Business Intelligence, Enterprise Systems, and Cybersecurity Management streams.
