Dr. Minran Liu

Biography

Minran Liu is a Lecturer in International & Political Studies at the School of Humanities & Social Sciences (HASS) at UNSW Canberra, the Australian Defence Force Academy. His research primarily focuses on Chinese foreign security policy and the interplay between domestic and international affairs. Liu has a rich academic background, having previously served as a Lecturer in the Government International Relations (GIR) discipline at the University of Sydney. He holds a PhD and has made substantial contributions to understanding Asia-Pacific security and Australia-China relations. Liu is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Studies Association (ISA) Asia-Pacific and serves as an Adjunct Fellow at the Australia-China Relations Institute (ACRI) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He is actively engaged in research activities and has published various journal articles. His works delve into the complexities of identity-policy discrepancies and preventive diplomacy in Sino-ROK disputes, highlighting his commitment to advancing knowledge in international relations.
