Biography

Miquel Miravet Tenés is a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton in the School of Mathematical Sciences. His research primarily focuses on modeling magnetohydrodynamical turbulence in the context of neutron star mergers, utilizing numerical relativity simulations to incorporate a realistic approach to the underlying physics. He is particularly interested in the study of gravitational-wave emission in the post-merger phase of binary neutron star systems and in the rapid identification of gravitational-wave sources through machine learning techniques. Miquel obtained his Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Universitat de València in 2019 and is completing his Master’s degree in Advanced Physics for the 2019–2020 academic year. He is on track to earn his Ph.D. in Physics from the Universitat de València in 2024, during which he conducted research stays at the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen.
