Biography

Mireille Butler is a Teaching Professor and Associate Dean at the University of Washington School of Law. She co-directs the Legal Analysis, Research Writing program and has extensive experience in legal research and writing education. Mireille has taught legal research writing in various institutions both in the United States and abroad, including courses at Berkeley Law and Sciences Po in Paris. Mireille holds a J.D. from Washington University School of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif, and a Maitrise in civil and business law from the University of Bordeaux, France. Fluent in French and Spanish, she has also built a professional career in business law in major firms in Seattle and St. Louis. Mireille is active in the academic community, frequently speaking at legal conferences on topics related to legal reasoning, education, and artificial intelligence in the legal context.
