Biography

Mireille Goetghebeur holds a doctorate in fundamental sciences and an engineering degree from the University of Montpellier in France. As the lead scientist for methods supporting deliberative processes at INESSS, she serves as an expert in the integration of knowledge, consultative and deliberative processes, and the art of recommendations from a perspective of fair and reasonable decision-making. She is an associate professor at the School of Public Health at the University of Montreal and an associate member of the research center at Sainte-Justine University Hospital Center in Montreal. A pioneer in the development of pragmatic multicriteria methodologies to support reflection and deliberation for fair and reasonable decisions, Mireille has substantial experience in implementing effective processes based on ethical grounds throughout the continuum of health decisions. She collaborates with numerous institutions to implement her holistic vision aimed at the ethical development of relevant, equitable, and sustainable health and social service systems at both local and international levels.
