Dr. Miriam Cohen

Biography

Miriam Cohen, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine and serves as the Medical Director at the Pediatric Primary Care Center at Bridgeport Hospital. She received her MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. Prior to her current role, Dr. Cohen was the Medical Director at Choate Rosemary Hall, overseeing a 24/7 health care center that provided acute and routine medical care for 860 students. Dr. Cohen has received numerous professional honors, including the Morris Y. Krosnick Award from Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. She has a diverse background that includes serving five years of active duty in the United States Navy and four years in the Reserves, and she has been trained as an undersea medical officer with board certification in undersea hyperbaric medicine. Her research interests include the impact of anxiety on concussions and the adolescent booster for the hepatitis B vaccine. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, long distance biking, triathlons, hiking, gardening, crafts, and photography.
