Biography

Miriam Cohen, MD, is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine and serves as the Medical Director at the Pediatric Primary Care Center at Bridgeport Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. Previously, she held the position of Medical Director at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT, where she oversaw a 24/7 health care center for 860 students. Dr. Cohen has received the Morris Y. Krosnick Award from Yale New Haven Children's Hospital and numerous professional honors, including from the United States Navy and the American Heart Association. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, long-distance biking, triathlons, hiking, gardening, crafts, and photography. Dr. Cohen’s research interests include how anxiety affects concussions and adolescent booster hepatitis B vaccinations. She is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families, particularly in the Bridgeport community.
