Biography

Miriam co-directs the Centre for Comparative, European, and Constitutional Legal Studies at the University of Copenhagen. She is also the Programme Manager for Research at the Danish Institute for Human Rights, leading a project focused on the legal right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health in Greenland. As Vice Chair of the Expert Group examining human rights aspects of contraception policies in Greenland since the 1960s, Miriam's research emphasizes the intersection of human rights and international law as they pertain to Greenland, as well as issues surrounding disaster and climate displacement. Her teaching areas at the University of Copenhagen include International Migration Law, Public International Law, and topics around Climate Change and Disaster Management.
