Dr. Miriam Ronzoni

Biography

Miriam Ronzoni is a Professor of Political Theory at the University of Manchester, where she has been since 2013. She previously held research positions at the European University Institute in Florence and Goethe University in Frankfurt. She completed her doctorate at the University of Oxford in 2008. Ronzoni's research primarily investigates contemporary normative theory with a focus on global and international issues. Her work delves into meta-ethical problems, such as the justification of normative principles, and applied problems like social and transnational justice in non-ideal circumstances. She has served as principal investigator for the research project 'Background Justice States: Global Institutional Design Foster Sovereign Statehood,' funded by the Humboldt Foundation's Sofja Kovalevskaja Award.
