Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Mirjana Minceva. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Professor Mirjana Minceva focuses on the development of efficient separation processes for downstream processing of biomolecules, integrating upstream processing steps, particularly bioreactors. Her research methodology involves model-based process design and bridges the gap between molecular understanding and process implementation. This concept is generally applicable to a diverse range of bioproducts of industrial relevance. She studied Food Science and Biotechnology for her Bachelor's degree and Process Engineering for her Master's degree at the University Ss. Ciryl Methodius, Macedonia. In 2004, she completed her PhD at the University of Porto, Portugal, under the guidance of Professor Rodrigues. Following this, she worked as an associate scientist and NATO postdoctoral fellow in Macedonia. From 2007 to 2014, she led the chromatography group at the Chair of Separation Science and Technology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, where she acquired her postdoctoral teaching qualification (habilitation) in 2013. She has been an assistant professor at the Technical University of Munich since July 2014.
