Biography

Mitsue Miyazaki is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of California, San Diego. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to science, including the Purple Ribbon Award from the Emperor of Japan in 2021 and the Senior Fellow Award from the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine in 2013. Her research focuses on the evaluation of cerebrospinal fluid outflow metrics in mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease, currently funded by multiple NIH grants. Her projects include investigating the effects of aging and exercise on dural lymphatic clearance in healthy and diabetic brains, as well as assessing macro- and micro-vascularity in diabetic peripheral artery disease using magnetic resonance imaging. Throughout her career, Dr. Miyazaki has published extensively in her field and continues to advance knowledge in radiologic science through her research activities.
