Biography

Mitzi D'Aquila, MACM, PA-C is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and serves as the Director of the Physician Assistant Program. A graduate of the USC PA Program, she completed her Master of Academic Medicine in 2014. With over 10 years of experience in pediatric hospital medicine, she has had significant leadership roles within the program, including serving as the Director of Clinical Education and more recently as the interim Program Director. Her commitment to the program and its mission is evident through her collaborative work with faculty and alumni to ensure the success of PA students. Mitzi has contributed to the field with six peer-reviewed publications and over 30 invited presentations at national and state conferences. She is actively involved with the Physician Assistant Education Association, where she facilitates workshops for new faculty and contributes to innovative projects aimed at enhancing preceptor recruitment. Recognized for her contributions, she has received multiple grants and was named POCN Top PA in Pediatrics in 2022.
