Biography

Mohamed Adel is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, where he is a dedicated researcher and clinician. Dr. Adel is committed to advancing orthodontic research, education, and clinical excellence. He earned his dental degree and completed his orthodontic residency at Suez Canal University, Egypt, before joining the faculty. He pursued his Ph.D. in craniofacial genetics through a joint supervision program at Showa University in Japan and Suez Canal University, gaining advanced clinical experience in Japan. After moving to the United States, Dr. Adel joined the Craniofacial Genetics Lab at the University of Kentucky as a postdoctoral researcher, further honing his expertise. He completed his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Kentucky and is currently an ABO board certified orthodontist. Dr. Adel’s research interests include craniofacial genetics, growth and development, orthognathic surgery, and the application of artificial intelligence in orthodontics. He is passionate about integrating cutting-edge research with clinical practice to explore innovative solutions that improve patient care. In his spare time, Dr. Adel enjoys spending time with his wife and children, watching and playing soccer, traveling, and scuba diving.
