Biography

Mohamed Bakoush holds a Ph.D. in Computational Financial Economics, achieved through a joint degree with the Agents, Interaction and Complexity Group in the Computer Science School at the University of Southampton. He also possesses an MSc in International Banking and Finance and a BSc in Finance. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and a full member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI). Mohamed has developed his expertise in systemic risk and financial stability, with his work attracting attention from central banks and leading to invitations to present at significant venues, including the Bank of England. His research is recognized both nationally and internationally, with contributions to the Global Financial Stability Report published by the International Monetary Fund. He has presented his research at various prestigious conferences, such as the American Economic Association Annual Meeting and the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. Mohamed is passionate about improving the student experience and employs innovative teaching strategies in his modules.
