Dr. Mohamed Eloustaz

Biography

Dr. Mohamed H. Eloustaz is a Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He serves as the Assistant Medical Director for Keck Main Perioperative Services. With a focus on clinical education, Dr. Eloustaz is actively involved in enhancing recovery protocols and minimally invasive surgical techniques. His research interests include Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways and their implementation in complex surgical settings, particularly through the utilization of quadratus lumborum blocks in robotic-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomies. Dr. Eloustaz has significantly contributed to the field through multiple publications, including studies on the impacts of dietary choices on metabolic risk factors and innovative pain management techniques in surgical patients. He continues to lead initiatives aimed at improving surgical outcomes and patient care in perioperative settings.
