Mohamed F. Khimji currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Law at Western University. A dedicated academic leader, he brings broad experience in legal education, institutional governance, and community engagement. Born and raised in Tanzania, Mohamed is a first-generation university graduate and internationally trained lawyer. Prior to returning to Western in 2025, Mohamed was the David Allgood Professor of Business Law at Queen’s University, where he served as Director of the Business Law Program, Associate Dean (Academic Policy), and Associate Dean (Graduate Studies). He has previously held the Stephen Dattels Chair in Corporate Finance Law at Western and taught at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law. In addition to his academic roles, he has served on the board of the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation and currently sits on the board of Small World Music. Deeply community-minded, Mohamed is committed to building connections across sectors and disciplines. In the classroom, he brings legal theory to life through contemporary case studies.
